Job Description

This position is for a member of CEE Internal Data & Analytics team in Warsaw. You will be accountable for leading the design, implementation and development of analysis, tools and reports used for Visa's internal clients (leadership team and business units), translating complex data into actionable business insights. You will be responsible for partnering with our stakeholders and providing them with best-in-class data analytics and solutions that support strategic, data-driven decision making and drive business performance with a clear value and measurable return.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Working with, extracting and manipulating large volumes of data; analyzing, cleaning and visualizing large data sets; connecting the dots between a variety of sources
  • Designing, developing and implementing BI/reporting and analytic solutions
  • Maintaining regular reporting and providing bespoke data analysis to produce insights into performance of various business verticals and highlight opportunities for growth
  • Creating and delivering powerful business-centric insights from data through visualization and storytelling
  • Collaborating with partners and stakeholders to fully understand business requirements and desired business outcomes, monitoring requirements and managing requests
  • Enhancing existing analytical techniques by promoting new methodologies and best practices
  • Providing subject matter expertise and quality assurance of complex, data-driven analytical projects and tasks
  • Identifying opportunities to automate repeatable analysis or build streamlined solutions
  • Working with the wider Data Science team, CEE Leadership Team and other Visa business functions, as applicable, to design and refine value proposition and foster collaboration

This is a hybrid position. This requires 3 days per week attendance in the Warsaw office. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager

Qualifications

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of expertise in applying analytical and statistical solutions to business problems
  • Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, or engineering or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of Payments and Banking Industry
  • Good understanding of data, market intelligence, business intelligence
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and managing multiple large projects with diverse teams
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate new techniques to solve business problems
  • Demonstrated resource planning and delivery skills

Technical Expertise

  • High proficiency and experience in running SQL scripts to extract data from multiple data sources is mandatory
  • Excellent skills in Excel and BI tools
  • At least intermediate knowledge of Python for data ETL processes, analysis, and automation
  • Hands-on experience in processing extremely large data sets, understanding of datamarts, data relationship concepts and data processing; understanding of Big Data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Hive)
  • Ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies
  • Defining and designing analytical approaches to business problems, ensuring the usage of correct analytical metrics to solve problems
  • Knowledge of payment network transactional data is a plus, but not required
  • Full professional proficiency in English

  • Experience in presenting ideas and analysis to stakeholders
  • Demonstrating ownership in delivering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet the desired outcomes
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to continually learn and develop skills
