Role Purpose :
This role will lead AuNZPI’s B2B events workstream for Visa in AuNZPI, as well as coordinating internal business-related events. This role exists to support B2B marketing in elevating tactical, one-off executions to a strategic program that supports priority sales conversations across Commercial Solutions, Acceptance, Merchants and the broader ecosystem. Events are the primary growth lever in this role. Success is defined by event quality, audience relevance, lead generation and sales pull through, not volume of activity. This role partners closely with the Marketing org, Communications and other functions to be the main point of contact and person responsible to lead and activate events but does not own media relations or PR strategy, nor internal social events.

Job Description
Role Purpose :

Deliver High‑Impact Visa‑Led And Partner‑Led Events
- Plan and deliver a focused portfolio of Visa‑led, partner‑led and ecosystem events
- Including conferences, trade shows, keynote speaker events, launches, roundtables
- Ensure each event has a clear commercial objective, defined target audience and success criteria
- Work with Sales to align event design to active and future pipeline opportunities
- Own end‑to‑end execution including concept, agenda, speakers, partners and follow‑up approach
- Create, manage, execute and optimize the end-to-end execution of Visa AuNZPI’s events calendar
- Consolidate the existing overarching event calendar across the multiple stakeholders and teams into one master calendar, and manage alignment with marketing, comms, sales, including CMS, and client engagement teams.
- Drive management of client touchpoints, which clients to influence and then design events, agenda, content, speakers based on client engagement, marketing and sales priorities.
- Plan events – Visa sponsored, Visa held, Visa attended, by tier and priority.
- In the lead up to events, drive awareness and attendance of events, including but not limited to, LinkedIn, event partner channels, email databases with sufficient lead time to achieve the desired audience attendance
- Lead and manage invites, RSVPS, message track, follow up, and all ticketing operations including invitation lists, lead times, stakeholders.
- Once content theme and agenda are aligned, source content and speakers for each event, whether reapplied from inter/intra-regional events, as well as securing speakers
- Event Management, overall ownership of administration including timelines, project planning, purchase orders, payments etc.
- Vendor Relations – lead and coordinate the agency and venue, logistics operators as a single point of contact to drive clarity and alignment
- Event recaps to be shared as a fast follow up from event, including analysis and ROI; content capture and distribution; competitor evaluation/assessment of execution for benchmarking and future planning
- Design events as demand generation moments, not standalone experiences
- Define lead capture, qualification and follow‑up frameworks in partnership with Sales
- Ensure post‑event engagement is planned upfront and executed consistently
- Use event insights to refine future audience targeting and formats
- Define and track success metrics for B2B events including attendance quality, lead generation and pipeline contribution via Eloqua and MS Dynamics
- Provide leadership with visibility on which events drive value and which do not
- Provide recommendations and a handover plan for post-contract scaling of which event formats, partnerships and investments based on learnings during the contract.
Qualifications
Experience & Capability Required:
- Strong background in strategy, planning, management and production of B2B events, including budget and reporting of the events
- Proven experience delivering events tied to commercial and pipeline outcomes
- Comfortable collaborating cross functionally, partnering closely with Sales and Product in complex B2B environments
- Experience in payments, fintech, technology or enterprise B2B industries preferred
- Highly organised, commercially minded and execution‑focused
