Job Description
We are seeking an experienced consulting professional to join VISA Consulting and Analytics team in Belgrade as a Manager covering Southeast Europe (Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania).
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, shaping, selling, and delivering consulting engagements for Visa’s clients. You will combine consulting expertise, payments knowledge, and data-driven insights to help clients grow their business and improve performance.
Potential projects could include strategy developments, portfolio management diagnostics, assessments of digital product and marketing strategies, product design and launch, development of industry landscape evaluations to inform payments strategies, and optimization of client customer experience and supporting processes. They are typically 2-3 months in duration and running in parallel.
This is a highly client-facing role requiring strong commercial acumen, project leadership, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Client Engagement
- Identify, shape, and support the sale of consulting project with financial institutions and other key clients
- Develop proposals, define project scope, and contribute to contract discussions
- Build and manage senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of consulting engagements, ensuring high-quality outputs, on-time delivery, and adherence to budgets
- Manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously across the Southeast Europe region
- Translate client challenges into structured problem statements and actionable project plans
- Guide and mentor project team members (internal and external) to deliver high-impact results
- Leverage Visa’s proprietary data, benchmarks, and analytics capabilities to generate differentiated insights
- Analyze client data, market trends, and competitive landscapes to identify performance gaps and opportunities
- Collaborate with data science teams to incorporate advanced analytics into client solutions
- Develop fact-based recommendations that address client objectives and drive measurable business impact
- Design and deliver compelling, executive-ready presentations and materials
- Support implementation of recommendations where relevant, working closely with clients and Visa teams
- Mobilize cross-functional Visa expertise (e.g., product, risk, marketing, innovation) to deliver holistic solutions
- Work closely with regional and global VCA teams to bring best practices and methodologies to clients
Basic qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or a related field; advanced degree (e.g. Master’s, MBA, PhD, etc.) is a plus
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in one or more of the following:
- Consulting or corporate strategy, with a strong track record of delivering projects
- Financial services industry (preferably banking)
- Payment, digital payments or payment processing
- Proven experience in leading engagements or workstreams and managing multiple priorities
- Excellent command of Serbian and English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to structure complex problems and derive insights from multiple data sources
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in business development, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals, and supporting client pitches
- Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including card issuing, acquiring, and digital payment trends
- Experience working with data-driven insights, including interpreting large datasets and translating analysis into business recommendations
- Experience in developing growth strategies, portfolio optimization initiatives, or digital product propositions
- Understanding of card portfolio economics and P&L drivers is a strong advantage
- Proven ability to build senior client relationships and operate in a client-facing environment
- Strong team leadership and mentoring capabilities in a matrixed organization
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity and professional ethics
