Job Description
Team Summary
The Greater China Marketing team is responsible for shaping and executing Visa’s brand, client, and consumer marketing strategy across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The team drives integrated marketing initiatives across B2C, B2B, and client partnerships to strengthen brand preference, accelerate business growth, and position Visa as a partner of choice in a highly dynamic and competitive payments ecosystem.
This role reports jointly to the SVP, Head of Marketing, AP and the SVP, Group General Manager, Greater China, ensuring close alignment between marketing strategy and broader business priorities.

Greater China is a strategically critical and highly dynamic market for Visa, where growth depends on deep partnerships across traditional financial institutions, FinTechs and broader ecosystem players. This role is central to positioning Visa as a partner of choice, translating global strategy into locally relevant, differentiated marketing that drives business outcomes.
The role is also pivotal in accelerating the growth of Value-Added Services (VAS) by enabling more insight-led, consultative client engagement and demonstrating how Visa’s capabilities extend beyond core payments. By leveraging data, analytics and AI-driven marketing, this leader will help unlock new revenue streams, strengthen client relevance and drive measurable commercial impact in line with Visa’s 2030 strategy.

- Leverage data, analytics and AI-driven insights to inform strategy, enhance decision-making and improve marketing effectiveness.
- Manage the development and execution of integrated marketing plans across Greater China, ensuring delivery against strategic priorities and timelines.
- Work cross-functionally to influence and align global, regional, and local stakeholders, ensuring consistency and impact of marketing initiatives.
- Evaluate marketing strategies and campaigns against agreed objectives, optimizing ROI through data-led budget allocation by market, channel, and activity, including AI-driven optimization techniques.
- Oversee the Greater China marketing budget, including governance and effective deployment of client marketing incentive funds.
- Drive strategic use of client incentives to deliver impactful joint marketing campaigns that increase client engagement and transaction growth.
- Manage and optimize all marketing agency relationships across Greater China to deliver best-in-class execution.
- Ensure full compliance with global brand standards, governance, and audit requirements, while providing strategic marketing advisory support to clients across payments and consumer marketing.

What you will need:
- 15+ years of relevant industry experience, including 10+ years in senior marketing leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in marketing strategy, execution, brand management and media, with a strong passion for driving marketing impact.
- Proven ability to engage, influence and build credibility with senior clients and C-level stakeholders across complex partner environments.
- Strong data-driven and AI-enabled marketing capability, with experience leveraging analytics, automation and machine learning to drive personalization and performance.
- Extensive experience developing and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies across digital, data-driven, and experiential channels, with end-to-end ownership from strategy through activation and measurement.
- Strategic and analytical mindset, with a track record of challenging the status quo and leading transformation as a change agent.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technology and product teams, translating business needs into scalable, data- and AI-informed solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen, including financial management, forecasting, and linking marketing investment to business outcomes.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives and connect strategy across product, partnerships and go-to-market teams.
- Exceptional leadership capability, with a track record of attracting, developing and retaining top talent and building high-performing teams.
