What's it all about?

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

VCA Implementation Services (VIS) extends Visa’s consulting capabilities by turning strategic recommendations into practical, scalable solutions. We help clients implement change effectively, accelerate adoption, and realize value faster in an increasingly digital payments landscape.

We are looking for a Payments Consulting & Implementation Manager to manage and support the successful execution of cards and payment development/implementation/migration projects within Visa clients in the Nordics. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the projects from as-is to target solution, utilizing strong and extensive experience from previous projects to execute and navigate in complex organisations and multifaceted program structures. Bringing experience and knowledge from major projects, preferably within the payments/cards area, the role will provide industry best practice in preparations and execution of project deliverables.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and execute change projects/activities from current state to target solution.
  • Manage allocated resources (Visa, client, third party) and provide high-level visibility and progress reporting for the program.
  • Actively engage and manage key stakeholders.
  • Drive assigned initiatives and tasks professionally, timely, and with high quality.
  • Ensure collaboration and integration within change initiatives.
  • Understand and support the realisation of clients' business objectives, needs, and plans.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in ways of working.
  • Provide thought leadership and projects regarding the future of payment and retail banking as needed.
  • Coordinate with Visa Hub teams to provide support, additional information, and best practices.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

What we’re after:

  • Understanding of card/payments products and its eco-system
  • A management consultancy background with strong ability to effectively market own services to clients and build trust.
  • Previous experience working as a consultant in payment-related projects with ability to drive business & technical projects end to end
  • Previous experience liaising between the business and the technical teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders including at senior executive levels
  • Ability to manage project dependencies and project associated risks
  • Experience in transformation and business readiness
  • Ability to manage and support project team members (Visa and client).
  • Proven experience of delivery techniques, methodologies, and best practices (Waterfall and Agile)
  • Fluent in English and either Swedish, Danish, or Norwegian, depending on the location, both verbally and in writing.
