Team Summary
The CEMEA Controllership organization is responsible for ensuring the integrity, transparency and scalability of Visa's financial reporting, governance and control environment across one of the world's most dynamic and diverse regions. Covering more than 80 countries across Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the team serves as a critical steward of Visa's financial health while enabling growth across established, emerging and rapidly transforming payments markets. Based on the foundation of strong technical accounting, regulatory compliance and operational excellence, the team partners closely with regional and global leadership to support sound decision making and sustainable business expansion.

The VP, Controllership, CEMEA leads a high-performing team of finance and controllership professionals and acts as a trusted advisor to regional and global leaders. Working across Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Finance Operations and Business Leadership teams, this organization helps ensure Visa remains a healthy, controlled and scalable enterprise while continuously modernizing processes, controls and technology to support future growth.
Regional Financial Stewardship

Regional Financial Stewardship
- Lead all aspects of regional controllership, financial reporting and governance across CEMEA.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of U.S. GAAP reporting, management reporting and statutory/regulatory reporting requirements.
- Support Visa's global reporting obligations, including contributing to SEC reporting and disclosure requirements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEMEA CFO, regional leadership team and Global Controller on financial, operational and governance matters.
- Provide insights that help leadership run a healthy, controlled and high-performing business while balancing growth opportunities with risk management.
- Influence strategic decisions through deep understanding of Visa's business model, financial performance and operating environment.
- Own the effectiveness of the regional control environment and ensure compliance with Visa accounting policies, SOX requirements and governance standards.
- Lead internal and external audit engagements and drive continuous enhancement of financial controls.
- Anticipate emerging regulatory, accounting and business risks across a highly complex, multinational environment.
- Champion the modernization of controllership by leveraging automation, digital capabilities and GenAI solutions.
- Drive process simplification, standardization and operational efficiency to support accelerated business growth and scalability.
- Lead major finance transformation initiatives across systems, processes and operating models
- Lead and inspire a geographically dispersed team of finance professionals.
- Build a culture of accountability, inclusion, continuous improvement and innovation.
- Develop future finance leaders through succession planning, mentorship and strategic talent development.

Qualifications
What you will need:
- 15+ years of progressive finance, accounting or controllership leadership experience within multinational, public-company environments.
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification strongly preferred.
- Combination of Big Four public accounting experience and senior finance leadership experience within a complex global organization.
- Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, audit and regulatory compliance.
- Experience leading finance organizations across multiple jurisdictions, currencies and regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated success operating within large matrix organizations and partnering with executive leadership teams.
- Experience leading large-scale finance transformation, process improvement and automation initiatives, including the application of AI and emerging technologies.
- Strong knowledge of SOX controls, governance and enterprise risk management practices.
- Drives transformation, simplifies complexity and embraces innovation.
- Maintains exceptionally high standards of financial stewardship and governance.
- Builds strong partnerships across regions, functions and global teams.
