Job Description

This role is responsible for co leading our Media strategy to build our brand and drive business results, for Core and Client. It also involves deepening consumer and client understanding and serving as a key contact with Media agency. This role requires strong experience in communication ans Media plans development and expertise in transforming consumer and client insights into effective strategies. Advanced analytics experience is essential. The leader is expected to better integrate capabilities of the Mexico marketing team while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our Media investments. This position reports to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing Mexico.

Main Responsibilities/Key Results Area

  • Strategic Media planning for brand and client initiatives.
  • Build brand preference and achieve all Media KPIs.
  • Create and execute best-in-class Media plans for Visa and Clients.
  • Oversee the Media strategy of Core and Client campaigns.
  • Accountable for the performance of Visa campaigns and Client Campaigns. Measured by effectiveness, performance, and costs.

Strategic Nature, Management Accountability, & Scope

  • Develop and execute Media plans.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative Media plans, brand experiences, and other solutions in collaboration with other areas.
  • Co-lead Media agency in Mexico to produce best in class work.
  • Hold Media agency accountable for their performance.

Decision Making & Complexity

  • Develop Media strategies and plans.
  • Oversee one of the Media agencies globally.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other business areas.

Reporting Relationships & Interactions

  • Reports to Senior Director of Brand Marketing Mexico and collaborates with regional Hub functions.
  • Engages with key internal and external stakeholders at the senior levels, including clients, agencies, media partners, and vendors.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Strong marketing skills with a proven track record of developing successful campaigns based on data.
  • Solid strategic thinking with the ability to craft and articulate marketing strategies rooted in a deep understanding of consumers and the business.
  • Ability to combine creative marketing with business acumen, focusing on results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to inspire and lead agencies.
  • Strong analytical mindset.
  • Proven social media marketing expertise.
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
