Team Summary
The Cross-Border team has the mandate to develop Visa’s strategy to drive accelerated growth in our Cross-Border business and deliver against priorities that drive efficiency and effectiveness of Visa’s sales teams. The team identifies growth areas for the business and drives focused execution of key priorities across a very diverse set of objectives. The XB team approaches the business with a start-up mentality in terms of thinking and working differently and how we improve the way we interact with clients and stakeholders across the business.
What an Analyst, Cross Border Strategy, Planning & Execution does at Visa
- Work with the Head of Cross-Border to develop and execute the Cross-Border strategy for Korea and Mongolia, evolves our relationships with key ecosystem participants and breaks through the challenges and constraints to generate meaningful and long-term sustainable revenue growth.
- Support account management including financial institutions, fintechs, merchants and government bodies with the Head of Cross-Border.
- Support to develop overall cross border payment strategy and execution for multiple industry verticals (Ads, Airlines, Hospitality, Retails, F&B, Trading, tuition and etc.)
- Actively collaborate with partners such as issuers, acquirers and fintechs to support their strategy development for Cross Border services.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders across the business to coordinate and deliver senior leadership reporting and Client facing engagements.
- Actively collaborate with AP, Global XB, MS&A to follow up the localisation protection framework.
- Landscape analysis of cross border flows in Korea and Mongolia - Market sizing and Deep analysis of use cases to identify pain points and opportunity size.
- Stitch together a Product suite that can solve some key pain points of issuers, acquirers and fintechs in their cross-border flows in collaboration with local, regional and global teams.
- Coordinate with Sales, Product, MS&A, Marketing, CMS, CS, GE, VCA and Finance to build the Cross-Border services vertical in Korea and Mongolia.
- Play a key role to facilitate financial modeling / business case development for new XB business opportunities and localisation protection. Execute commercial deals from initial engagements, client negotiations, contract agreement process to implementation.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
- The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship, project management and governance experience in addition to, but not ideally, a strong knowledge of the payments industry. The role is best suited for a candidate who has a strategic mindset, has strong project management skills, and can seamlessly collaborate across sales and functional teams at all levels including senior management.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressively responsible business experience in project management, sales operations, strategy, business planning or client-facing roles
- Ability to develop cross border payment business opportunities via engagements with various partners including issuers, acquirers, payment gateways and merchants and build partnership with them.
- Proven customer service orientation, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to define strategic needs of the business and provide appropriate management reporting to senior leadership team. Proven track record of analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in leading, directing and facilitating complex projects that drive change management in the organization and promote sales efficiency and effectiveness
- Experience in successfully utilising project and portfolio management tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities demonstrating success in conveying messages across a diverse set of stakeholders including Clients and Senior leadership
- Ability to work autonomously and in teams, and adapt in a dynamic environment whilst simultaneously delivering the plan
- Experience across multiple countries and cultures, ideally within a complex, matrix management organization
- Experience in the banking/financial services sector preferably with strong knowledge of card payments industry, its products, services, and technologies
- Some travel will be required from time to time
