Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (multiple openings) in Highlands Ranch, CO to:

  • Design and execute an efficient AI/ML forecast model for enhanced capacity planning for Visa applications, aiming for a precision of 90%.
  • Prepare the AI/ML model for production with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD), utilizing tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Deploy, maintain, upgrade, and ensure high availability, leveraging Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as Riverbed and Dynatrace for proactive issue identification and resolution.
  • Automate various processes using python or shell script to streamline operations.
  • Possess expert-level knowledge in Kubernetes Administration, VMWARE, TCP/IP Performance, and Application Performance Troubleshooting in Cloud services.
  • Analyze transaction and system performance data, alerting teams to circumvent potential performance issues or processing capacity constraints of the server supporting java applications.
  • Scrutinize historical performance and transaction data, and work on capacity planning models for upcoming merchant promotions or peak times.
  • Assess any performance overhead of new technologies and APM tools.
  • Install, configure, instrument, and upgrade APM tools.
  • Develop dashboards and set up alerts for performance metrics.
  • Oversee engineering, certification, and security facets of Application Performance Management monitoring tools and services.
  • Adhere to good engineering practices and concepts, audit requirements, and corporate compliance issues and requirements.
  • Position reports to the Highlands Ranch, CO office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer or system engineer-related occupation.

Position requires the following License/Certification:

  • Google Certified IT Automation with Python Professional
  • The Linux Foundation Certified Open-Source Software Development, Linux and Git
  • HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate Certificate (003)
  • Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer Certificate
  • Microsoft Certified AZ-400 Desi

Position requires experience in the following skills:

  • Implementing the AI/ML forecast model in live environment and using it in actual capacity planning
  • Preparing the AI/ML model for production with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD), using Jenkins and GitHub
  • Application/System performance monitoring using APM and similar tools
  • Kubernetes Administration, VMWARE, TCP/IP Performance, and Application Performance Troubleshooting in Cloud services
  • Capacity planning, performance tuning, load/stress testing, and troubleshooting performance issues of the server supporting java applications
  • Python, Unix, Shell, Perl, or SQL
  • Network performance monitoring and troubleshooting network performance;
  • MQ, Cache, NoSQL DB, or RDB
  • Tomcat or JBOSS.

Worksite: Highlands Ranch, CO

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $130,811.00 USD to $155,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
