We are seeking a dynamic, transformational leader to join our team as the Senior Director of Digital Media and Unified Communication. This role is integral to driving innovative leadership and motivation, essential for IT to meet strategic objectives that support Visa's business needs. You will play a critical role in fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation, delivering tools solutions that meet or exceed customer and stakeholder expectations. This involves shaping business requirements to optimally leverage technology teams in alignment with Visa's 2030 goals. This role demands strategic vision to develop clear tools rationalization and modernization plans, and drive employee productivity through the adoption of GenAI and Automation.
The Senior Director, Digital Media and Unified Communications, is a transformative leader responsible for end-to-end management of enterprise digital media technologies, including audio-visual (AV), unified communications (UC), voice, streaming, and conferencing physical infrastructure. You will drive strategy, technical excellence, and operational simplicity, ensuring seamless communications and media experiences across the global organization. This role leads a high-performing team of AV Engineers, UC Specialists, and Streaming Technicians, and partners closely with other Workplace Technology subareas. Experience applying AI and agentic technologies in digital media/UC is highly desired.
Essential Functions:
Strategy and Implementation:
- Develop and execute technology strategies and roadmaps for digital media and UC that support business goals and elevate the user experience.
- Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to define priorities, direction, and timelines.
- Lead deployment of new and emerging technologies, including AI and agentic systems, to drive innovation, efficiency, and simplicity.
- Oversee large-scale transformation programs and ensure successful integration of new digital media and UC solutions.
Technical Leadership
- Serve as the subject matter expert for AV, UC, voice, streaming, and conferencing infrastructure.
- Set technical direction for architecture, design, and delivery of complex, enterprise-scale solutions.
- Drive the adoption of industry best practices in security, performance, and user experience.
- Ensure change management and information security are embedded in all initiatives.

- Inspire and guide the corporate tools team to achieve their full potential while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 15+ years of relevant work experience
- 15 or more years of technology leadership experience with increasing responsibility growing and leading high-performance teams and directing the IT function.
- The ability to take ownership of complex, multi-faceted, open-ended problems and drive them to completion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with customer-service orientation.
- Deep technical expertise in digital media, AV, UC, voice, video, streaming, and conferencing infrastructure.
- Proven ability to architect and deploy enterprise-scale solutions and drive technology transformation.
- Experience applying AI and agentic technologies in digital media/UC environments strongly preferred.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills able to communicate complex technology strategies to diverse audiences.
- Natural collaborator with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership behaviors in team management, customer communications, and interactions with peers, senior leadership, and potential clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including leading large, high-performance teams in organizations with 5,000+ employees.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead global, multi-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technology strategy to diverse audiences in non-technical language.
- Ability to drive consensus across diverse, global technology, and business partners.
- Sound judgment, high ethical standards, and the ability to work effectively with others at all levels.
- ITIL, Six Sigma, or Agile development experience desired.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM Tool.
- Proven track record of driving change and transformation in network operations.
- Experience in leading enterprise technology and cultural transformation programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of tools and technologies and metrics-driven management.
- Strong conviction to drive things to closure with a high sense of ownership, low ego, and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and independent judgment.
- Strong experience in providing exceptional customer service and supporting business continuity planning.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 191,700.00 to 299,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
