Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Director (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:

  • Manage a team of highly focused developers and technical product managers and work with each one to bring optimal results, while ensuring career growth and personal achievement.
  • Own and execute projects and initiatives in/affecting ownership areas - ensuring high quality of deliverables and adherence to best practices.
  • Advocate and ensure adherence to best practices and adopted processes, providing a high level of visibility, transparency and compliance.
  • Work with, coach/mentor individuals in the team, ensuring regular 1:1 meetings, career and aspiration discussions and setting goals in alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Work with stakeholders to build roadmaps, provide technical direction and work with direct reports and peer teams to ensure goals are met.
  • Provide technical direction and thought leadership in areas of ownership.
  • Keep updated with technology trends and bring new ideas and innovation to the team and the organization at large.
  • Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, followed by 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following skills:
    • Managing development or delivery teams;
    • Delivering global, large-scale IAM service provider systems, and overseeing data architecture, development and systems integration;
    • Aligning complex business problems to appropriate technological solutions that deliver strong returns on investment;
    • Public Cloud IAM/Security products with a focus on Identity Governance and Access controls;
    • Understanding source code management, unit and integration tests, static code analysis and SDLC;
    • Working with stakeholders to improve data and business processes and to negotiate priorities;
    • Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery;
    • JavaScript Frameworks; and
    • IAM/Security products related to authentication, authorization, SSO, SIEM and enterprise security protocols including SAML, OpenID, and OAuth.

Additional Information

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $188,200.00 USD to $301,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
