Job Description
- Manage new client agreements setup by reviewing contracts with Deals team, Client Incentive Market Specialists and Account Executives. Build client incentive model on Oracle or Excel.
- Review client incentive contract terms, prepare incentive adjustment calculations and identify fees for deferred revenue
- Setup client specific changes on the billing system including setup for incentives deferral
- Analyse the system setups and data, ensure governance is followed and review and validate system changes implemented, including documenting evidence for audit and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) review
- Process all lifecycle events associated with Client Incentives Operations - payments, accruals update, contract renewals, clawback assessments. This includes working closely with the Centre of Excellence team (Bangalore, India) to support day to day activities and work paper reviews.
- Ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the cluster. This includes journal preparation, BS reconciliations, PnL and BS flux analysis, subsequent event reporting
- Support Initiatives towards simplification, standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controls to achieve effective financial reporting and operational processes. This includes partnering with appropriate stakeholders for a successful end-to-end approach to reporting
- Partner with financial and non-financial stakeholders on key business initiatives to provide Subject Matter Expert advice on operational processes and accounting advice
- Support internal and external audit activities as required
- Assist with ad-hoc data analysis projects
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
- Finalist or newly qualified accountant
- Strong understanding of accounting standards
- Understanding of financial and operational controls in a high-volume reporting environment, with high reliance on IT systems, automated and manual controls
- Inquisitive and possess natural curiosity to challenge current practices
- Ability to dive deep into data, existing processes to identify issues and opportunities towards improving end-to-end reporting
- Experienced in supporting continuous improvement of existing processes and controls to achieve successful end-to-end reporting approach
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate concisely with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
