What a Manager, Operations and Client Delivery LAC Social Impact & Sustainability does at Visa
As a key member of Visa’s Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) team, the Social Impact & Sustainability Manager will be responsible for supporting team operations and delivery of impact programs and solutions with clients and partners across the LAC region, aligning with Visa’s 2030 business vision and market-specific priorities. This role is pivotal in driving measurable impact through strategic programs and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy Execution
- Shape and advance the LAC social impact & sustainability strategy and roadmap to deliver on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Align initiatives with Visa’s global priorities, focusing on:
- Empowering small businesses and entrepreneurs through digital tools, knowledge, access, and security.
- Promoting financial education to foster economic inclusion and development.
- Enhancing digital commerce security for all users.
- Demonstrating Visa’s long-term commitment to the communities we serve.
2. Program and Solution Delivery
- Lead regional programmatic and partnership deployment, in alignment with market strategies.
- Manage end-to-end program delivery with key clients and stakeholders within the LAC Region, with a particular focus on Colombia, in partnership with other Visa functions
- Manage project timelines, task lists, and deliverables to ensure on-time execution.
- Track and update project progress in internal systems and tools.
- Provide post-delivery support, including gathering client feedback and supporting reporting needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with country leadership, Communications, and Government Engagement teams to implement programs.
- Establish feedback loops to share insights and best practices across regions.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key external stakeholders across LAC.
- Develop compelling narratives that articulate Visa’s purpose and impact in priority markets.
- Enhance Visa’s reputation and influence with decision-makers through consistent, values-driven engagement.
Business Planning & Operations
- Supporting LAC SIS across finance and international operations, with dotted line reporting into the global Senior Director, SIS Business Planning and Operations
- Supporting SIS’s input into Visa’s client engagements, presentations, and RFP responses across LAC
- Facilitating the creation and syndication of regular updates and reporting to all levels of Visa management on key metrics and objectives
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
What you will need:
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
• Experience in working in the technology and/or financial services sectors, and experience implementing social impact and/or financial inclusion programs preferred, as well as government, politics, communications, and/or economic development is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management with the ability to deliver an aligned plan across multiple stakeholders to drive a shared vision
• Demonstrated success in emerging markets in building long-term partnerships with leading organizations in the public and civil sectors.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required in Spanish and English
• Ability to manage competing priorities with a flexible and adaptable approach to support broader market strategic initiatives as needed
• Team player with experience working regionally or even globally across cultural, geographic and time zone boundaries
• Creative and resourceful in overcoming barriers and unexpected roadblocks
• Excellent understanding of, and passion for, social Impact & sustainability
• Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative, with ability to influence and enable teams and colleagues across the business and without direct reporting relationships
• Ability to work with limited supervision
What will also help:
• Experience working in the payments industry
• Experience working in markets outside of Colombia
• Strong understanding of financial inclusion, financial education and SMB needs
• Understanding of the intersection between social impact, government/regulatory affairs and communications
• Global mindset but knowledgeable of different cultural ecosystem landscapes and ability to connect to Visa business goals
