Job Description
- Role: Product Manager on the Account and Wallet team focused on internal operational platforms reporting to a Senior Product Manager.
- Mission: Decide what to build and why. Convert insights into a prioritized backlog. Lead delivery in an agile environment. Drive adoption and measure impact.
- Strategy and Vision: Research market users technology and competitors. Build strategy and a multi quarter roadmap. Secure stakeholder buy in. Translate strategy into an engineering backlog. Support quarterly and annual planning.
- Discovery: Run user and customer research. Ideate with stakeholders. Map systems and operational flows. Define functional and non functional requirements. Maintain technical documentation. Serve as the domain subject matter expert.
- Delivery: Lead planning execution release and iteration. Prioritize across one or more scrum teams. Keep the backlog transparent with clear dependencies. Support UAT demos training and implementation. Handle feature and product behavior inquiries. Manage cross team dependencies and adjust the roadmap as timelines change. Align closely with engineering and uphold SDLC rigor. Participate in agile ceremonies and mentor new team members.
- Adoption: Partner with go to market and delivery teams on implementation and positioning. Drive adoption across departments regions segments and use cases. Measure and report post launch performance and impact.
- Additional responsibilities: Collaborate with Risk and Compliance including Visa Direct. Support Chief of Staff on communications culture and engagement. Provide administrative support to the senior regional leader. Champion Visa values and help attract diverse world class talent.
- Success measures: Clear and executed strategy roadmap backlog and business cases. High velocity delivery of valuable features. Consistent high quality product development practices and strong adoption.
Qualifications
At least 3 to 4 years proven experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role, preferably in Financial Services, especially payments
Experience crafting a vision for your product based on customer or user discovery, market research, and data analysis
Proven ability to translate business needs to a technical team and translate technical concepts back to business stakeholders, effectively bridging the gap
Ability to define a product backlog using standard categories such as epics, features, and user stories, with experience making tough trade offs and prioritization decisions
Experienced in facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders from product, business, and technology
Comfortable working with agile frameworks and across multiple teams
Strong business analysis skills, including business process mapping and data transformation or mapping, with experience using tools that support these modeling activities
Good technical understanding of web applications and APIs
Domain knowledge in fintech including cross border payments, foreign exchange, payment standards, scheme rules, payment processing technologies, and regulations
Previous experience in regulatory compliance and financial crime prevention including anti money laundering, fraud, and terrorist financing is a strong advantage
Experience working with global teams across multiple locations and time zones is an advantage
Strong experience with the Microsoft Office suite and the Atlassian suite is an advantage
