Job Description

CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Bellevue, Washington to:

  • Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability.
  • Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings.
  • Actively contribute to product quality improvements, valuable service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads
  • Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions.
  • Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology.
  • Support relationship with product owners to gather and refine requirements for one product task, adding and taking into account existing tools and solutions within a product.
  • Develop and design architect solutions, considering integrations with other solutions.
  • Provide relevant knowledge on the development of user documentation of solutions and follow standard processes in user documentation.
  • Play a minor role in the development and delivery of new features within a product.
  • Identify and advance bugs that threaten website functionality.
  • Position reports to the Bellevue, Washington office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following:
    • Development language, including Java, C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript;
    • Building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability;
    • Collaborating with Product, Test, Dev-ops, and Agile or Scrum teams to design, develop, and deliver software features while ensuring alignment on requirements, quality testing, deployment processes, and overall project goals within an agile framework;
    • Utilizing React library to build intuitive and responsive user interfaces for web applications;
    • Configuring and integrating with RAG system to improve information retrieval and response accuracy within applications;
    • Expert in cloud computing and developing application with serverless architecture.

Additional Information

Worksite: Bellevue, Washington

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $161,138.00 to $164,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
