Job Description
Visa Inc. is expanding its services and products both organically and through acquisitions. The Corporate Technology Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration Management Office (IMO) leads the strategic transition of acquired companies into Visa’s technology stack and operational ecosystem.
As part of our growing IMO team, the Systems Analyst will serve as a technical liaison and requirements analyst, driving the discovery, documentation, and validation of business and technical requirements for M&A integration initiatives. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth technical research, system analysis, and gap assessments to ensure seamless integration between the acquired company’s systems and Visa’s enterprise architecture.
In this role, you will contribute to the transformation of people, processes, and tools by helping identify and implement improvements that enhance integration outcomes and operational efficiency. This position requires a detail-oriented technical thinker who can bridge business needs with technical realities, document complex system and process architectures, and identify improvement opportunities through structured analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical requirements gathering sessions with business and technology stakeholders, ensuring all functional, non-functional, and integration requirements are captured and validated.
- Conduct as-is and to-be analysis of systems, applications, and processes, identifying technical gaps, redundancies, and integration challenges.
- Perform detailed gap analysis between current-state and target-state architectures to inform integration design decisions.
- Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and product teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including process maps, system diagrams, data flow diagrams, interface specifications, and integration playbooks.
- Assist with technical due diligence, analyzing systems, infrastructure, APIs, databases, and data quality from target companies.
- Partner with technical teams to validate integration approaches and troubleshoot issues, escalating issues and risks as necessary.
- Maintain and update integration playbooks and technical runbooks for repeatable execution of future M&A projects.
- Facilitate workshops and Agile ceremonies, ensuring Jira boards accurately reflect technical tasks and dependencies.
- Support automation and workflow optimization initiatives using tools like Microsoft Power Automate and Generative AI solutions to streamline processes, improve data handling, and enhance team productivity. or similar.
- Stay informed about emerging integration patterns, tools, and technologies that could enhance M&A execution.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or Project Analyst in a technology-focused environment.
- Strong knowledge of system integration concepts, including APIs, data mapping, middleware, and infrastructure dependencies.
- Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, and analyze technical requirements from diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record in process mapping, gap analysis, and producing high-quality technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, concise documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in M&A integration projects, due diligence, or post-merger activities.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate.
- Familiarity with data migration and enterprise platforms.
- Scrum Master certification or equivalent Agile training.
- Experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and global environment.
