Job Description

The Marketing function undertakes projects to identify and isolate audience truths that inform our marketing and business strategies. We occasionally invest in external agencies to turn these research documents into relevant papers and thought pieces that address topical issues. Examples, include; consumers attitude to overseas travel during COVID, adoption of new ways to pay such as Apple/ Google/ Samsung pay and better understanding the motivations of smaller merchant enterprises in their adoption and rejection of digital payments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • To work with existing agencies and develop thought pieces that are driven by relevant insights within the small business sector.
  • Involvement in the planning, delivery and evaluation of integrated campaigns targeting multiple audiences, such as launch events and partnership activities.
  • Measuring and celebrating our social impact by collecting data, compiling case studies and producing reports.
  • Help bring a new perspective to what we do – consider new methods, new data sources new processes.
  • Promoting VISA and its services using a broad range of channels including social media, PR, Events and Public Affairs.
  • Identify actionable consumer insights, through the analysis of consumer transactional data and social media behaviour.
  • Creating and maintaining content.

Qualifications

  • Current university student (studying for bachelors/masters) graduating in the summer of 2026, ready to start working in September 2026.
  • Ideally pursuing a Bachelors/Masters degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field.
  • Fluency/professional level language skills in English and German.
  • Full, permanent, right to work in Germany. Visa will not provide sponsorship for this role.
  • A passion for marketing, demonstrated by basic knowledge, initial understanding, and a keen interest in the payments industry.
  • Proven storytelling skills — able to turn ideas, data, and insights into engaging narratives.
  • Ability to design professional, visually appealing presentation decks (PowerPoint/Google Slides).
  • Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with a team-first work ethic.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
