Job Description
Visa is seeking a Manager for Global Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) Deal Finance, reporting to the Director of Global CMS Deals, to partner with sales to manage the end-to-end approval process of global deals in CMS.
The scope and mandate for the Global CMS Deals team is to:
- Engage in all Global deals across Visa’s CMS business unit with an emphasis on Money Movement.
- Partner with the sales teams in all aspects of deal development, deal approval, and deal lifecycle management, including thoughtful analysis and insightful deal review materials, accurate decision records and deal benchmarking.
- Establish a center of excellence across three dimensions:
- Deal evaluation criteria and review documentation
- Calibrating and refining deal pricing, structure, and strategy
- Supportive internal governance and expedient approval pathways
- Support regional deal teams by sharing best practices and driving consistency in financial modeling, deal structure and deal strategy.
As a member of the Global CMS Deal Team, the Manager will:
- Coordinate with Global Sales teams, liaising with various departments including product, legal, risk, accounting, tax, and treasury to structure and propose deals. Tasks include brainstorming, financial modeling, obtaining approvals, negotiating, and finalizing contracts.
- Conduct deal modeling and manage the deal P&L, optimizing outcomes for both Visa and the client through detailed financial analysis and interpretation of results across various scenarios, and communicate financial risks to senior management decision-makers.
- Perform data analysis, modeling, and forecasting to determine the incentives Visa offers to new or expanding customers.
- Prepare and present deal documents for executive stakeholders, emphasizing financial perspectives in pricing and incentive reviews.
- Develop best practices for commercial structures and legal terms, assisting sales teams with client proposals.
- Enhance and streamline infrastructure and processes for managing and documenting the CMS deal approval process.
- Collaborate with finance, pricing, strategy, and legal teams to identify opportunities to improve deal outcomes and sales velocity.
- Promote best practices for deal structuring and provide insights into pricing and incentives. Advise on financial structures that attract customers while protecting Visa's financial and legal interests and achieving growth goals.
- Offer commercial insights on deals, challenging assumptions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the client's portfolio and Visa's offer requirements.
- Manage and report on deal modeling and governance processes, while contributing to the development of efficient, effective, and streamlined infrastructure and processes for managing and documenting the CMS deal approval process opportunities.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- 6+ years of experience working in a Finance department, with some experience of support for commercial decision-making. Industry experience is open with a strong preference for fin/tech or technology.
- Global experience and positive reputation for working effectively across levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, quantitative, and qualitative skills, with proven experience in transforming raw data into actionable insights for deal strategy formulation and presenting these insights effectively to drive deal negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and have a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication skills with keen attention to detail. Capable of summarizing and communicating key financial information and business strategy at an executive level.
- Experience with high performing business development, finance or pricing teams.
- Excel skills and experience.
- Experience in deals (ideally at Visa).

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 109,800.00 to 159,250.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
