Job Description

Product Managers are the architects of product offerings and the key drivers of product line success and adoption by merchants and partners. They drive the vision and strategy of the product line, ensuring effective delivery and execution across the organization. This role focuses on launching innovative products in the payments space and expanding the company’s payments processing footprint globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a prioritized product roadmap for integrated payment processing strategies.

  • Drive the vision, strategy, and execution of the product line, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Interface with acquirers and processing partners, defining integration requirements and managing relationships.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to deliver requirements, track execution, and commercialize payment products.

  • Hold direct P&L responsibility, including cost and ROI analysis for payment gateway initiatives.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of payments environments (Brands, Issuers, Processors, Acquirers, PayFac models).

  • Interpret mandates, compliance requirements, and technical letters from brands to ensure ongoing compliance.

  • Analyze processor specifications, especially for major card schemes.

  • Develop and set up onboarding processes for new features or platforms.

  • Identify and recommend processing partners based on client needs.

  • Produce detailed product and functional requirements to drive development, testing, and deployment.

  • Provide analytical insights and support to Sales to drive merchant revenues and transaction growth.

  • Evangelize the platform’s processing capabilities and support product launches and merchant acquisition.

  • Address and resolve contentious discussions with groups or merchants as needed.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or
At least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or
2 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of experience, with at least 4 years in Payments.
Demonstrated experience in card processing and establishing connections to payment processors.
Working knowledge and experience in ISO, EMV, P2PE, and POS hardware connectivity to payment gateways.
Strong understanding of merchant needs in omni-channel environments.
Ability to identify, document, and prioritize use cases and product functionality requirements.
Proven record of designing and delivering solutions in partnership with sales, business development, technology, and support teams.
Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently in complex, ambiguous environments and manage multiple initiatives.
Experience working with large, cross-functional and cross-regional teams in matrixed organizations.
