Job Description

What’s it all about?

We are looking for a Head of Marketing who will lead Visa marketing activities with a focus on Marketing Services, and client co-marketing across Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia. The role orchestrates marketing activities in the subcluster, builds business and co-marketing activities with Visa and its partners (banks, merchants, acquirers and fintechs).

And because our business model gives us the chance to work with every retailer, every bank and fintech in the market, the potential scope and impact of a Visa marketer is extraordinary and hard to replicate in other industries.

The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented, customer-focused, highly motivated and experienced leader with the ability to set a clear vision to drive growth. The individual must be flexible and have a “can do” attitude, combining a solutions-oriented mind-set with a highly collaborative approach. This leader must have a strong track record in managing high-performance teams and influencing across functional areas, coupled with experience of working in a global matrix environment across fast-changing sectors. The selected individual will bring strong commercial acumen, financial fluency and deep, proven marketing expertise in both strategy and delivery, and will be ready to take the team and our clients’ business to the next level.

What we expect of you, day to day:

  • Coordinate local Visa marketing activities across Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia, lead client co-marketing, local partnerships, media, digital/social media, support sales processes and leverage insights to strengthen plans.
  • Drive Marketing Services delivery (Revenue, NPS) to power our clients’ businesses and strengthen relationships, supporting diversification of revenue mix, efficient budget utilisation and effective pipeline management. Own key client relationships and lead negotiations.
  • Lead and develop an international team of marketers in Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia, fostering a supportive, collaborative environment focused on joint revenue goals. Build a high-performing, engaged team with clear succession plans and a strong focus on delivering measurable business impact.
  • Partner with Sales teams and Visa Consulting & Analytics and to incorporate market insights (client, competition, economic trends) into marketing strategies and deliver value through One Advisory projects (research, strategy, creative services, execution and optimisation).
  • Drive client co-marketing at C-suite level, making marketing and the Visa brand even more valuable to stakeholders. Leverage top sponsorship properties (FIFA, Olympics, UEFA Women’s Football, F1, gaming, music partnerships and more) to create engaging programmes that win with consumers and clients.
  • Ensure regular communication with executive leadership and successfully navigate a diverse and dynamic business environment.
  • Oversee complex local projects in partnership with stakeholders within and outside the function, including Sales, Product, Legal, Clients and agencies.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Experience:

  • Results-oriented marketer with significant 10+ years of leadership experience with world-class brands.
  • Proven track record in building high-performing teams and developing talent.
  • Proficient in marketing fundamentals and performance marketing.
  • Strong business acumen, sales mindset and experience in client negotiation or consulting.
  • Deep knowledge of Central European markets (Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia) – thinks globally while addressing local needs.
  • Experience across different sectors, financial services, banking or big tech advantageous.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of one of the local languages (Czech, Slovak, Hungarian).
