Job Description
Value-in-Kind (VIK) is goods or services that Visa provides to a Business Partner in consideration for contractual obligations to promote or use Visa’s products or services. VIK is a strategic pillar supporting Visa’s growth strategy. VIK helps power client businesses through differentiated value beyond cash incentives, aligning with Visa’s imperative to deliver Value-Added Services (VAS) and deepen partnerships. By leveraging VIK, Visa accelerates adoption of innovative solutions, supports expansion into priority markets, and strengthens our role in money movement and commercial solutions.
The VIK Operations team ensures accurate financial management and compliance for VIK-related activities. As part of Global Revenue Operations, the team plays a vital role in maintaining financial integrity, controlling VIK processes, and ensuring proper revenue and expense recognition. This function is essential for safeguarding Visa’s financial performance and supporting strategic initiatives.
The Financial Analyst, VIK Operations, plays a critical role within the team, ensuring the precise execution of these responsibilities. Key responsibilities are:
- VIK Processing: Manage end-to-end VIK operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This includes reviewing VIK contracts for adherence to Visa policies, processing VIK transactions in financial systems, and applying rigorous controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal governance.
- Revenue Analytics and Control: Execute and monitor controls to ensure timely and accurate recognition of VIK-related revenue and expenses. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights to maintain revenue integrity.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate closely with Account Executives, VAS delivery teams, and other internal stakeholders to enable smooth execution of VIK agreements. Act as a trusted partner to resolve operational issues, provide guidance on VIK processes, and ensure alignment across functions.
- Support Strategic Initiatives: Support the design and implementation of processes that operationalize new strategic initiatives, ensuring they are scalable and aligned with Visa’s growth objectives. Support initiatives that enhance client engagement, enable adoption of Visa solutions, and deliver measurable business impact.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline VIK operations and strengthen internal controls by supporting process improvement initiatives, including simplification, automation, and, where applicable, AI-driven solutions. Contribute to projects aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing risk, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of VIK and revenue management workflows.
