Job Description

  • Provide advice with respect to privacy and data protection related issues
  • Provide advice on regulatory issues including the Retail Payments Activities Act, the Code of Conduct for the Payment Card Industry in Canada and regulatory regimes affecting Visa’s Canadian clients (e.g. the Bank Act, OSFI guidelines, etc.)
  • Draft, negotiate, and review complex commercial contracts and other legally binding documents
  • Provide advice and counsel in the interpretation and enforcement of contracts.
  • Support regulatory compliance and Visa’s relationship with the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) and the Bank of Canada.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 or more years relevant work experience with JD
